Aslı Çavuşoğlu
A great bulk of Aslı Çavuşoğlu’s(Istanbul, 1982) work stems from experimental narrative exercises working around mechanisms of erasure, repetition, replicas and narrative interplay. She uses various mediums such as artists’ books, videos and installations. In 2009 she was a resident at Cite des Artes, Paris and PA61 Mexico City; in 2008 at El Basilisco, Buenos Aires and ACC Gallery, Weimar; in 2006 Backyard Residency Program, Iasi and Platform Garanti CAC, İstanbul. The artists’ books she has produced include In Patagonia after Bruce Chatwin, 2009; A Slight Hesitation of Petra Nancht, 2007; The Unsubscribed Life of Peter Böse, 2007 and Bent002 Takip/Poursuite, 2006.
